If you're reading this, you're probably experiencing at least one of these situations right now.
Most nutrition advice fails fighters because you don't have the same needs as a desk worker try to lose fat. You train like an athlete, but most other plans would have you eating more like a fitness influencer.
This would work if you had an information problem, but you don't. You have an implementation problem, and that requires a personalised, human touch, and adjustments when things stop working.
They work on paper. They don't work when you're travelling, training load changes, or life gets in the way. No one adjusts them, so when they stop fitting, you're on your own.
What works for someone with different genetics, training volume, weight class and schedule won't work for you. Nutrition is individual. There's no shortcut around that.
Most nutrition coaches and PTs have never cut weight, experienced the brutal training of fight camp, or been through the psychological challenges of fighting. I have.
You don't need to be more disciplined, you're already working hard. It's about having the right plan, support, and adjustments so this hard work actually pays off with results.
No rigid meal plans, no four-hour Sunday meal preps, no avoiding foods you like. You'll get a simple, flexible nutrition plan built around your needs to give you the fuel you need to perform better than ever. We'll adjust it whenever needed.
Every week we review how things are going and adjust if needed to hit our weight targets. When the scale won't budge mid-camp, when performance dips, when you're travelling and out of your routine, you've got someone who knows what to change.
Most coaches say "try harder" or "just get back on track next week". That's not how behaviour change works. If it were that simple, you'd already be doing it. With a first-class BSc psychology degree alongside my nutrition qualifications, we build around your life, not against it, so new habits form without relying on willpower alone.
Direct, personalised coaching to take the stress off your shoulders.
Built around your goals, training schedule, upcoming fights, and food preferences. Flexible enough for real life, but structured enough to deliver results that will blow you away.
A Monday check-in every week plus messaging throughout. You'll never wait days to ask a question or sit with a problem that could be fixed in five minutes.
A simple, personalised strength and conditioning plan - the same approach I use myself. Builds strength and athleticism without compromising your fight training.
As your goals, training load, fight schedule, or situation changes, so does the plan. You won't be left following something that stopped being relevant three weeks ago.
Sign up now and get your plan within a few days.
Or if you'd rather hear from me personally before committing, apply and I'll send you a personalised video explaining exactly what I'd recommend for your situation.
No messing about, no weeks of waiting. Here's exactly what happens.
Tell me about your goals, training schedule, upcoming fights, food preferences, and anything that's been tricky so far. Takes about ten minutes and it's what I use to build your plan.
Your personalised nutrition plan (and S&C programme if you want it) arrives in your WhatsApp messages. Clear, simple, built for you.
Weekly updates, open messaging throughout the week, and adjustments whenever things change. When challenges come up, and they will, we solve them together instead of letting them derail you for weeks.
Stop winging it. You'll show up to training knowing your nutrition is sorted.

I had 4 wins and 7 losses. Despite being the hardest worker in the gym, I didn't look like an athlete and I was losing more than winning.
When I tore my ACL, I had a choice: come back the same way and hope for different results, or fix the things that weren't working. Nutrition was the missing piece for me.
I went from a 5-fight losing streak to a 17-fight unbeaten streak.
That didn't happen by accident. I stopped eating like a fitness influencer and started eating like a fighter. No more 4-hour meal preps, no avoiding carbs, no gimmicky supplements. Just simple, evidence-based performance nutrition that supported what I was actually doing.
I do this because combat sports are hard enough already. The training is tough, the cuts are stressful, the pay isn't enough. If I can take the nutrition stress off your plate so you can focus on training and fighting, that brings me tremendous satisfaction.
Every one of these clients was in a similar situation to you before working with me. They had the exact same doubts and reservations. The only difference is they took the leap of faith, and see what happened:
"Before we started working together, I had no period for 4.5 years. Doctors tried to put me on HRT and told me I was in early menopause. I was constantly getting injured and everything was so much harder than it needed to be. After working with you for just over 6 months I had my period back and my training and fight performance was so much better. I got my first TKO after our first camp together. You've taught me so much - I've become a better athlete and human because of it."
"It's amazing that I was able to eat more and more regularly while managing to get my weight down safely. I had such an easy weight cut and I felt way more energetic and powerful during my fight."
"During the fight I felt full of strength and was not depleted at all. I was also much bigger and stronger than my opponent by the time the fight started."
"Every time I've cut weight (and sometimes when I haven't), I've ALWAYS lost my periods, which is obvs not ideal. So to have dropped 6kg in 2.5 weeks AND still have a period blows my mind. Continuing to feel so strong in training, hitting new PBs every week at the moment and just all round feeling the benefits of being properly fuelled with a performance based nutrition approach - both mentally and physically :)"
"WOW what a difference using James during this camp. I never thought I could get so low in weight and eat as much as I was. Thank you James for putting me in the best shape I have ever been in."
"I have been able to come down to a more appropriate weight class whilst performing at my absolute best."
"James made it clear that I wasn’t eating anywhere near enough to fuel my workouts in camp, whilst still losing weight gradually leading up to the fight. Following his guidance, I felt fit and strong the whole way through camp and was definitely in the best shape I’ve been in preparation for a fight. He made my weight cut a breeze and will 100% be working with him again for future fight camps."
"He basically took all of the stress out of making weight for me. I would highly recommend."
"James has been a godsend for our amateur and professional boxing team."

Sign up and if, after reviewing your details, I don't think I'm the right fit for your situation, I'll refund you in full. No awkward conversation needed.
Once we've started working together, if for whatever reason you're not happy and you regret signing up just let me know within 14 days and I'll refund you in full. No conditions, no partial refunds, just one polite message.
I can offer this because I'm fully confident in my program. The results speak for themselves. But I want to give you the peace of mind knowing that you're protected, instead of talking yourself out of something that could genuinely change your performance, the trajectory of your fight career, and your life as a whole.
Any other questions? Just apply and I'll be happy to answer them.
No. Rigid plans don't work long-term. If they did, you wouldn't be in this situation. Your plan is built around your food preferences, your schedule, and your lifestyle. You'll have flexible options rather than a fixed menu to follow. You'll also be able to eat out and enjoy meals on occasion without the whole thing falling apart.
If something isn't working for you, that's what the weekly check-ins are for. We adjust until it does work.
The Monday check-in takes about five minutes. You'll just reply with your average weight, a screenshot your your nutrition averages, and a quick update on how you're getting on. Messaging throughout the week is whenever you need it, not a set meeting you have to show up to.
The whole point is to make your nutrition simpler, not to add another time-consuming thing to your week. Most clients spend less time thinking about food after a month than they did before we started.
The things most fighters try (one-off meal plans, YouTube videos, copying what elite fighters eat) all have the same flaws: they're not built for you and they can't be adjusted. Your training volume, your weight class, your food preferences, your schedule. None of those are accounted for.
This is also the first time you'll have someone adjusting the plan when things change, rather than just trying to follow a document that stopped being relevant three weeks ago. That ongoing support is usually the difference.
Yes. And probably more than you think. If you're training most days a week sometimes even multiple sessions a day and not fuelling properly, you're competing against yourself before the fight even starts. Performance, recovery, body composition, energy in training - they're all directly affected by nutrition.
Shannon came to me with no period for 4.5 years and got her first TKO after our first camp together. Max felt bigger and stronger than his opponent come fight time. Maria had the easiest weight cut of her career while eating more. Nutrition was what changed.
No. A PDF meal plan is a document. This is coaching. The difference is the weekly check-ins, the ongoing adjustments, the problem-solving when things don't go to plan, and the behaviour change strategies that mean the approach actually sticks. The plan itself is just the starting point.
A few things are different here: I'm a combat sports athlete with 28 fights, not just a nutritionist who likes watching the UFC. I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Advanced Nutrition Science (passed with distinction), a first-class Psychology degree, and I completed a 6-month mentorship with the UFC Performance Institute Director of Performance Nutrition.
You'll also get an S&C programme at no extra cost, which most nutrition coaches don't offer. And the psychology-based behaviour change approach means the habits actually stick rather than falling apart after a few weeks.
Cheaper is fine if it works. But if you've already tried cheaper and you're still reading this page, it probably didn't.
You have 14 days from receiving your plan to change your mind. If you're not happy or it's not right for whatever reason, just tell me and I'll refund you in full. I know it's not cheap, so I don't want you to have any reservations.
And if, after reviewing your application, I don't think I'm the right fit, I'll tell you before you spend anything.
You fill in a short form - takes about five minutes -telling me about your goals, current situation, and what you're hoping to get out of coaching. I'll record a short personalised video explaining what I'd recommend for your specific situation. No sales call, no pressure. You watch the video and decide.
If you're ready to go, you can skip the application and sign up directly - you'll get your plan a bit quicker that way.
No. We'll communicate via WhatsApp texts and occasional Loom videos when I need to explain something in more depth.
I've found that calls sound appealing at first, but soon become another thing to try and squeeze into your already-busy schedule.
The whole point is to make your nutrition simpler, not to add another time-consuming thing to your week just for the sake of it.
You will have my phone number in case of fight week emergencies. But, for our daily communication, texts are most efficient for us both. You can read and respond at any time that suits you.
I have just one request for our WhatsApp communications: please don't voice note me.
Type instead or use the 'dictate' feature to speak to your phone and convert that to text. This encourages concise communication and means I can give a fast, efficient response - the type of response that will actually help you, rather than just rambling on a voice note.
Real messages from real clients. Unfiltered.
Your teammates will start asking what's changed.
Your nutrition will be the answer.
